Bio
I graduated in 2024 from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University with a degree in Environmental Studies. Throughout my academic journey, I’ve cultivated a deep passion for climate science, with a particular interest in the impacts and mechanisms of climate change. The Climate Change and Society program at NC State aligns closely with my interests, offering both a strong scientific foundation and the flexibility to explore human dimensions of climate change.
Most of my experience in climate science has centered around nature and wildlife. I’ve had the opportunity to intern with organizations such as the City of Raleigh, NOAA, Los Alamos National Laboratory, and the Southeastern Climate Adaptation Science Center at NC State. These experiences strengthened my understanding of ecological systems and their vulnerability to climate stressors.
While I greatly valued each of these opportunities, I’ve become increasingly interested in exploring how climate change affects human communities and systems. The interdisciplinary approach of the Climate Change and Society program allows me to build on my existing knowledge while expanding into new areas that focus on human adaptation and resilience.
I’m excited to be a part of this program and look forward to deepening my understanding of how we can help communities respond effectively to our rapidly changing climate.
