Bio
After more than a decade as a broadcast meteorologist I decided to come back to my alma mater and join the CCS program. My initial interest in weather and the environment was sparked early in life at age 9 when Tropical Storm Dennis and Hurricane Floyd hit North Carolina back-to-back. My passion for weather led me to earn my undergraduate degree in meteorology at North Carolina State University. From there, I went on to work in Mississippi, Alabama and in North Carolina informing my viewers about weather, climate and all things impacting our local environment. I know the CCS Master’s program at NCSU will only expand my knowledge and tone my effective communication of weather and climate information. Which I will share with my viewers on air, the students I speak with at school visits and community groups that invite me to speak.
