Bio
As a North Carolina native, I earned my bachelor’s degree in Global Studies and Communications from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and am now excited to continue my education at NC State in the Climate Change & Society Master’s program.
My background includes several years in the animal welfare sector, where I focused on animal husbandry at a nonprofit farm practicing sustainable agriculture and small-scale ecosystem management. I also had the pleasure of working alongside conservation efforts for native plants of the Southeastern U.S. region as the Communications and Visitor Services intern at the North Carolina Botanical Garden.
Building on these experiences, I am eager to dedicate my academic and professional career to addressing the challenges of our changing climate. Specifically, I aspire to work in the sustainability side of the beauty and cosmetics industry, finding alternative solutions to waste and rethinking the journey of a product in ways that encourage responsible consumption and production while helping preserve nature for our tomorrow.
